The Vice Chairman (South-east), of the Action Congress of Nigeria ,Dr. Chudi Nwike, has been abducted.
He was kidnapped in Anambra State yesterday, and the abductors want N30million in foreign currency for his release.
In a statement in Lagos by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji
Lai Mohammed, the party quoted Nwike’s younger brother, who has been
contacted by the victim,as saying the kidnappers have demanded the
ransom.
”We appeal to the security agencies to do everything within their
power to ensure the safe release of Dr. Nwike, while assuring his family
of our prayers and support at this very difficult time,” the statement
said.
