Jos Crisis: Kaduna District Head Cries For Help
The district head of Aboro in Kaduna
State, Shaibu Sule Galadima, has called on well-meaning Nigerians and
donor agencies to provide tents and foodstuffs in order to take care of
those taking refuge in the area following the Jos crisis in Plateau
State.
The place shares
border with Riyom local government of Plateau State. According to the
district head, several people including men, women and children were
taking refuge in the district as a result of the crisis in Jos, a
situation which he said the district cannot control. The district head told our correspondent in Kaduna yesterday that “both the Berom and Funalis are now taking refuge in our area”
“There is a road people from Plateau always follow to come to our communities in times of crises. As I am talking to you now, there are many people in our communities who are trooping to our place from Monday; we want the government and other relevant agencies to help us with foods and tents to assuage their sufferings because the local governments have not helped in the past,” Galadima said.
